Welcome to my new maths blog!

There are many people in the world who are dedicated to explaining mathematics at all levels. In this blog I will discuss some of my own ideas and some of the things I have tried while lecturing in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham.

There are already some excellent and long-established blogs out there. If you haven’t seen them, you should take a look at Gowers’s Weblog and Terence Tao’s What’s new, for example.

You can find some of my own teaching resources at
http://www.maths.nott.ac.uk/personal/jff/Teaching
and some more of my teaching and research presentations at
http://www.maths.nottingham.ac.uk/personal/jff/Beamer
Some of these presentations are also available through
Nottingham’s Open Courseware pages (u-Now)

New! Some recent screencasts from my teaching are available from the screencasts page on this blog, https://explainingmaths.wordpress.com/screencasts

You can find my recent e-prints on the page
http://www.maths.nottingham.ac.uk/personal/jff/Papers
Best wishes,
Joel Feinstein

  1. Hello. Isn’t this nicer than Blogger? You can put your links in the sidebar so they are easy to find.
